Glow Massage & Birth Support is currently seeking an experienced massage therapist interested in women’s health and pregnancy. 

We are a small, specialized practice, treating women at any age and stage of life with deep tissue massage. Glow is known for its prenatal massage, and our Yelp reviews are an indication of how much we love our work. Our practice is located in the Temescal neighborhood of Oakland, on a residential street with easy and free parking.

Requirements:

•  Desire to work in a specialized practice built around educating clients as well as providing fantastic bodywork experiences; therapist must be very comfortable discussing sensitive women’s health issues and treating pregnant women
• 3+ years massage experience
• Training and experience providing deep tissue massage
• Ability to do 4 deep tissue massages in a day
• California certification

Additional Information:

This is an opportunity for a therapist who is eager to learn more about prenatal massage but may not already have extensive formal training. We offer as much hands-on training as a talented therapist needs to become more confident with side-lying prenatal massage.
Our whole team participates in training a new therapist, so it’s a beautiful sharing of techniques and philosophies.

The facility is custom designed by a massage therapist to be comfortable for both therapist and client: electric tables, steaming towels and built in sound-systems in each room.

We have various shifts available throughout the week and weekend, and request a commitment of 2 shifts a week consisting of 3-4 massages each or a longer shift of 6 massages if that’s your preference.

Compensation: This role is a contracted position, earning between 45% and 50% of each listed service price (for example, $50 for a 60 minute massage) plus client retention bonuses of $5 for every appointment booked directly by the therapist.
