Title: Last Chance for Certification in CA with less than 250 hours of training
Post by: diamondlight on December 13, 2011, 11:19:43 PM
As many of you know, December 31 is the last day that you apply for Certification  as a massage practitioner with less than 250 hours of training.
If you have less than 250 hours of training and want to be certified,  please apply to the CAMTC for your "conditional certification" by the end of the year.
With conditional certification you will still need 30 additional hours of training per year until you have 250 hours of training, but you will be certified in the meantime. After December 31 this option disappears. To apply for certification go to camtc.org (http://camtc.org)

IMPORTANT- to apply for certification you must request a transcript from the school
You can do this here (http://www.diamondlight.net/massage-school-transcript.html/)
The turnaround time for transcripts is 2 weeks and we are closed from December 16th through the holiday, so if you want your transcript sent by the end of the year we need to receive your transcript request by December 9 at the latest if you want it send by the end of the year.
We will not be able to accommodate last minute requests for transcripts

Beginning in 2009 California law went into effect stating that you can you use the title certified massage therapist or certified massage practitioner only if you are certified by the CAMTC. Previous certificates issued by schools are no longer valid

We want to make sure that no one misses this opportunity
