Since many students are planning to get their 250 or 500 hour certifications by the end of the year, we have outlined the process below, to make it as efficient as possible and avoid any potential obstacles that might cause you to miss this small window of opportunity.
~ Applications must be received by the CAMTC by December 31, 2014 to avoid the additional requirements of the new law. Go to camtc.org for information on what is required to apply.
~ The CAMTC requires a transcript for your course work sent directly from the school. We require a 2 week turn around time to send your transcript and we are closed from December 20 - January 1, so we must receive your transcript order by December 6 to have it to the CAMTC in time. If you are taking the Thai Massage course that ends on December 14, please order your transcript by December 6 and specify that it includes that class and we will mail the transcript as soon as the course is complete.
~The best way to order a transcript is to send us an email (to diamondlight@diamondlight.net) with your name, address, phone number and info about where you want it sent (specify to send it to the CAMTC if it is for certification)
~The cost of a transcript is $18 per copy and you can mail a check to Diamond Light, PO Box 2110, San Anselmo, CA 94979 or call us at 415-454-6651 to pay by credit card.
~ If you took your basic massage training with Diamond Light in the last 3 years, we are also required to have your high school, college or graduate school diploma or transcript on file before issuing a transcript. You can also sent this to the address above if you have not already provided it to the school.
~ We consider the date that we are in receipt of your request, payment and diploma to be the date of your transcript order and your transcript will be mailed within 2 weeks of that time, if it is by December 6.
~ Please be aware that only your classroom hours will be included on your transcript and the 50 at home practice hours that you did for your basic massage class will not be counted. If you are unsure about how many hours of training you have from Diamond Light, please send us an email and we can tell you.
